Inflation in 2023 has been a major economic concern, with prices for goods and services rising at the fastest pace in decades. The US Consumer Price Index (CPI), a measure of inflation, increased 3.7% in August 2023 compared to the same month last year. This is the highest annual CPI inflation rate since 1982.
